Terms of Service

Plain English. No jargon.

I wrote these terms to actually be readable. If something is unclear, email us and I'll explain it in plain English.

The short version: Use DraftPaid to create professional invoices. Don't use it for anything illegal or harmful. I provide the tool as-is and aren't responsible for how you use it. That's pretty much it.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using DraftPaid at draftpaid.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These terms apply to all visitors and users of DraftPaid.

2. What DraftPaid Is

DraftPaid is a web-based invoice generator. It lets you create professional PDF invoices for your business or freelance work. I am not an accounting platform, a payment processor, or a financial services company.

Important: DraftPaid generates invoice documents only. I do not process, hold, or facilitate any payments between you and your clients. How you receive payment from your clients is entirely up to you.

3. Free Plan

DraftPaid's free plan allows you to generate up to 5 invoices per month without creating an account. Free invoices include a small "Created with DraftPaid" footer credit. The free plan is provided as-is with no guarantee of availability or uptime.

4. Pro Plan (Coming Soon)

When the Pro plan launches at $9/month, the following terms apply:

5. Acceptable Use

You may use DraftPaid to create invoices for legitimate business purposes. You agree not to use DraftPaid to:

6. Your Data

Invoice data you enter into DraftPaid is stored in your own browser's local storage by default. You own your data. I don't claim any rights over the invoices you create. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

7. Intellectual Property

The DraftPaid name, logo, and website design are my intellectual property. The invoices you create using DraftPaid belong entirely to you. You retain full ownership of any content you create using my tool.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

DraftPaid is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind. I don't guarantee the service will always be available, error-free, or meet your specific requirements. I am a small early-stage product and do my best to keep things running smoothly.

9. Limitation of Liability

DraftPaid is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption. My total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

10. Changes to These Terms

I may update these terms from time to time. I'll always update the "Last updated" date at the top. If I make significant changes I'll make reasonable efforts to notify users. Continued use of DraftPaid after changes means you accept the new terms.
